Registration Process Step-by-Step

 

​1. Schedule FREE consultation with Kelly Mulligan​​​​. In this consultation you will need to provide: ​​​

  • Contact Information

  • Student Information (e.g. name, grade/age)

  • Improvement Areas (e.g. specific subjects, organization, HW help)

  • Schedule (# of sessions per week, days & times available for tutoring)

 

2. After you've had your free consultation, you can schedule a FREE 15-minute virtual meet-and-greet with student & parent/guardian through Zoom (link will be provided)

  • 5 minutes of introductions (getting to know one another)

  • 5 minutes of going over teaching method, resources, and Zoom functions for those taking virtual lessons

  • 5 minutes of answering questions 

3. If you were happy with the virtual meet-and-greet, you can schedule the first tutoring session!
 

  • A one-time payment must be paid before the start of the session

  • No commitment required to continue
     

4. If satisfied with the first session, you may secure recurring hours for the month and/or semester

  • Hours determined for the month are paid for in advance 

  • Please consider only the hours for which the student is able to commit to for that month, as all secured hours will be made payable.

  • Consistency & commitment are key to student success.

5. Once you have locked in your hours, you will receive an invoice. Be sure to agree to terms and conditions via email. See below:

 

Location
 

  • IN-PERSON SESSIONS

    • Student's home​

    • Tutor's home

    • Mutually agreed-upon public location (e.g. coffee shop, library)

    • Rates vary depending on location*
       

  • VIRTUAL-LIVE SESSIONS

    • Zoom Link will be provided upon student registration​

    • The same zoom link will be used for all recurring sessions

    • For increased interaction, a drawing pad (link here) is highly recommended

    • Flat rate



Payment
 

  • The number of hours (including their respective dates and times) for the month will be agreed upon before the start of each month.

  • At the end of each month, an invoice for the following month will be emailed to you. 

  • Payment must be paid before the start of that month's first session 

  • Non-payment by the due date, stated on the invoice, will result in the place being offered to another student on the waiting list.

  • Payment can be made via PayPal (family/friend option), Venmo, CashApp, Google Pay, or Zelle.

  • If you wish to no longer continue recurring monthly sessions, please give us 1-2 weeks' notice.


 

Cancellation Policy

  • Contact the tutor immediately if your student is unable to attend a lesson.

  • If lessons are canceled within less than 24 hours' notice, the full cost of the lesson will be payable and a make-up session will NOT be offered.

  • If lessons are canceled in a timely manner, you are responsible for working out a make-up session with your tutor within the same monthly term it was scheduled.  

  • Make-up sessions do NOT carry over into the next month.

  • If the tutor is unable to attend a lesson, a make-up session will be available for that month's term. Otherwise, a refund in the full amount will be made payable

Expectations
 

  • Lessons will start promptly at the advertised time.

  • Students should be prepared with study materials needed (e.g. pencil, paper, calculator)

  • Due to a full case-load of students, if a student shows up late, it is not possible to make up that time

  • Sessions may not be recorded without prior written consent from the tutor

  • We take no personal responsibility for individual exam results but will endeavor to offer professional advice and opinions regarding likely outcomes. 

  • We are always available for questions between sessions via email and aim to respond within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
